Being Healthy Doesn't Mean Never Getting Sick

immunity Jun 05, 2019

Unfortunately, being healthy does not mean never getting sick.

It does mean, however, that we should get sick less often, and when we do we usually fight it off within 2 or 3 days. No more of fighting it for 1-2 weeks!

Some people who start making healthy choices can feel that they have failed if they get a cold or something similar. As I mentioned earlier, being healthy means that, when your immune system does have a challenge on its hands, it has the capacity to fight well. This means that you can recover quickly.

Rather than talking about being sick, I prefer to talk about having an immune response. This is a healthy response of your immune system. Don't get me wrong, feeling unwell, having a fever or having snot flowing is no fun, but it is a healthy response.

I'll save why these things are good for another post ...
